Cool, thx for the feedback Frustration

So, this morning I darkened up some of the lines on my full size sheet, snapped a pic, and adjusted the contrast/brightness so you can see my sketch lines, etc.
Funny that you should say make the head bigger, because that was my original intent Still haven't decided whether I'm going to have Togo, Nich the traveler, or someone else on the right side. I feel like that big bald canthan might fit best in this image, but idk.

Also, looking forward to seeing Koss's expression, having lived his whole life in a place with definitely very little snow
@Morag: cool progression on the stained glass! Time for more color?
@Tee: Tralala lol. Poor elf. Might be worth it to rub in a little fabric paint (or even regular acrylic) if he's keeping the hat permanently ...would look pretty cool, seeing as how it already fits! I just think it looks too clean to have been petted by so many travelers.

more colour indeed!
last update for today spent the best part of my day on my entry, need to make the most of a free day.

colours are probably a bit unexpected ok, at the moment it looks like a little girl has been let loose on a colouring book and a box of crayons XD I have a cunning plan to bring it all together though! I felt it was important to make the colours warm

@Morag: Holy cow awesome progress today. I'm definitely seeing Dwayna's power at bringing spring out of the ice, or something. Just glancing at your notes in the progress gallery. I think doing clean vector linework was the right call, and now you've set yourself up with a nice color layer to do some real building on. Not to say it's smooth sailing, but I imagine the remainder of the piece should build itself from the work you've done so far. Looks like the Tiffany style is within reach, assuming you keep the coloring as complex as it already is .

-__- ergh I hate DA sometimes, it's not showing up for me
The reason why it's not showing up is because, I think, you're using [img] tags for a non-direct link.

image tag this url: http://th02.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/...ce-d4i5zvf.png

Then it'll show.

thanks guys! I spent about 7h+ on that yesterday, and it's a bit daunting considering that a LOT of the work is still to be done >.<

@Marsh: ZOMG CUTENESS OVERLOAD!! I adore little Dwayna riding the snowflake! :3 :3

@Sasultra: I prefer the old one, gives your pictures a bit of "breathing space"

Marsh, That is so sweet, what an adorable polar bear.

Sasultra, At first glance I preferred the new one as it felt less cluttered to me. Morag, did you prefer the old one because there was space between the pics? What if Susultra had the pics from the new one but left a space between those? The artists here know more than me, but I liked the green background from the old one, but on that one I felt the pics were squashed up to the top edge of the frame a bit.

@MoragD @ Aeronwen

I see what you both mean and TBH I liked old layout better, (like design green spacing etc). But people said that the cartoons I made in the smaller pictures didn`t do the sculptures justice, So I removed the cartoon effect and now it`s all just my sculptures it shows off the grentches a lot better than the cartoon effect did kinda main reason for changing it. I did like the told layout by design.

I admit I didn't look at it in great depth, I only had a quick look at the distribution of images vs the background, and in that sense I preferred the old one. By all means keep the new pictures though!

If I get the school magazine sent to the print company on Wed as I'm supposed to, I'll probably (yes, probably) start drawing on Thurs. I need to get the picture done but I don't have time for anything just now :P Will be back!

Colored what I could using my left hand. Took hours XD. Won't be able to ink the rest of the stuff until my right hand is feeling better again ><.

Here was the update before it.

SO I'm regretfully going to have to say I'm not likely to enter the workshop this year. I really want to, but I currently have some other higher-priority things to take care of before I even sketch some ideas down. That being said, if I can clear everything up before the deadline you can be certain I will try to enter.

Everything is dependent on the next 3 weeks for school; the less work I have the more time I have to work on other things, the more work I have the less time.

Mostly because this other thing also happens to be a painting. So itd be hard to work on two paintings at once with such differing topics.

I'll still help people working on their submissions, however

@Draken Burst The colouring job looks well worth the time it took. I can imagine just how difficult it would be to have to work with your weak hand! You could have told me you did it with your right hand I probably wouldn't have known the difference.

@Morag That is looking so awesome! I quite like the pastel colours you're using. They may be warm colours in a piece more fitting for cool colours, but the contrast isnt so strong to detract from the overall appeal. Just the right amount

@Marsh I feel like a broken record, but your stuff is looking as amazing as always. Its that polar bear that does it for me everytime too!

@Sasultra What if you used a similar layout from the original (colour scheme, approximate placement, etc.) but replaced the old pictures with the new pictures? You'd have to adjust it for the number of pictures now, but you could combine whats good with the old with whats good with the new
